Dolphins Take on Falcons to Kick Off Season
8:32 am in Regular Season by admin
And it’s here – the first day of professional football in Miami and everyone in south Florida will be crowding around their TV sets.
The Dolphins look to build on their success from last season – the schedule reflects this, too as they have arguably one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. They start by heading up to Atlanta and facing a rising Hawks team that features a high powered offense attack. Michael Turner, since being unshackled from San Diego, has proven to be more than just Ladanian Tomlinson’s backup rushing for over 1,000 yards last season. The Hawks Roddy White is becoming one of the better receivers in the league as he looks again to be the focus of their air attack.
As for the Dolphins, they will employ their “wild cat” offense and find ways to score behind Chad Pennington’s accurate arm and Ronnie Brown’s amazing power game. Greg Camarillo is back and expect him to be a factor today as last season he was a go-to target of Pennington’s and this should help free Ted Ginn to get vertical. Against the Hawks DBs, the Dolphins may be able to hit a home run.
