Add an Avatar for Blog Writers

7:54 pm in Site Announcements by admin

If you are writing for one of our blogs, why not add an avatar that will help you gain the recognition you deserve?

For starters, if you don’t know, an avatar is a tiny image you use to show a picture of yourself. You get one with your site profile – your overall profile that makes you a member of FloridaGridiron.com. This allows you to join/form groups and discussions.

If you choose to start a blog, or write for a blog, then you have a profile (same log-in information) that allows you to write for that blog. You can also tweak that user profile with another avatar (or perhaps the same) that shows you off as a writer on the site.

Got questions? Leave a comment or email me. Happy avatar-ing!

Update: The Aquarium Getting Some Last Minute Touches

1:18 pm in Site Announcements by jonnylons

Just fine tuning things a bit around here. We have relaunched the site as a social network built around the sport of football here in Florida. For now, we are focusing on the major college teams and pro teams, but in the future we are looking to expand to all college teams here in Florida as well as high school programs.

For now, we are tweaking The Aquarium, which is our portion of the site dedicated to the Miami Dolphins. Check out the latest posts there by heading directly to the Aquarium or by checking back on the front end here.

And We're Back!

10:05 pm in Site Announcements by admin

We started this website a few years ago, but it kind of fell out of use as I was overwhelmed with other projects. Now, however, we are relaunching the site and starting completely over. We are going to be adding brand new content and using a revolutionary format that will enhance the community of FloridaGridiron.com.

What is unique here is that football is not just a sport in our state, but rather a way of life. From Pop Warner on up to the professional level, football is breathed in by Floridians and celebrated virtually year round. Perhaps it is due to the climate here, and this is one of the reasons why Florida produces the best football talent in the country.

So, welcome to FloridaGridiron.com. Here we celebrate the Sunshine State’s proud football heritage. Be a part of it and be heard. Then, of course, rekindle those old rivalries!
